Nature doc feminist social

  • Seattle, WA 98144 (map)

We will be watching a couple of episodes of the popular BBC Life series.  This event will be fun and social, but also with a heavy dose of feminist critique for the narration.  What happens when we anthropomorphize the lives of animals, and then tell morality tales about them?  Can we draw any conclusions about humans from the behavior of animals, even primates?

The event will be held at a private home in Seattle's Central District, with high-def projector and large movie screen.  Attendance is capped at ten, due to space considerations.  If you'd like to attend, contact jeanna.weena@gmail.com to reserve a spot and get the location details.

Some food and beverage provided, but please also BYOB + snacks!
