In collaboration with AWIS we are presenting a panel discussion and networking event titled:  "Beyond the Lab: what it takes to bring a science perspective to politics".  Speakers will include:

Yasmeen Hussain, who holds a PhD in biology and recently completed a AAAS Congressional Fellowship, working in the office of Rep. Bill Foster.

Emily Myers, who is a PhD candidate in Pharmacology and is currently running for Seattle City Council in District 4.

And more special guests to be announced!
