We will be at Geek Girl Con with a fun panel about the Science of SciFi. Hosted by seven awesome Women of Science, we will discuss all your burning questions, such as:
Could we bring dinosaurs back to life? Will we ever make contact with aliens? Will robots take over the world? In this panel, we will explore the links between scientific research and science fiction (SciFi). While keeping scientific concepts accessible, we will discuss the advances being made in fields portrayed in SciFi media. Researchers in robotics, astronomy, and genetics will discuss fiction and real research, and the lessons that each can learn from the other. Find us in the “Uhura” room at 5:30pm on Saturday Nov 16th. All ages and genders are welcome!
